We are excited to announce that this year we are co-hosting the Horizontal Drilling Automation and Technology Conference alongside Well Site Automation. This decision is based on feedback from operators and sponsors, who are keen on accelerating automation to reduce compliance costs and optimize headcount, especially on remote rigs.
Automation is seen as the future, with system integration aiming to automate entire well sites, including drilling and completions. This integration is crucial as drilling and completions significantly impact the overall process, and automation plays a vital role in this conversation.
Moreover, automation innovators and vendors are broadening their portfolios beyond well sites or facilities. They offer tools and analytics that are drilling-centric, and they seek to engage with heads of facilities and well sites. Over the next five years, operators and service providers will introduce more innovative products, viewing automation not as a standalone function but as an integral part of their operations. This perspective is why we decided to run these two events together.
The drilling event will not be purely about automation; it will also showcase new technologies. We will focus on horizontal drilling, multilateral technologies, and innovations to enhance drilling efficiency. Traditionally, there has been a distinction between automation and general technology innovation, but feedback indicates that these topics should be combined. Well site automation engineers are curious about the latest drilling techniques and technology innovations. We will offer passes that allow attendees to mix and match sessions, promoting cross-pollination of ideas.
This approach also benefits vendors, providing opportunities to connect with a broader audience. American Business Conferences is recognized as a leading player in the automation and new tech space in North America, and we aim to build on this platform, making our show the premier event to attend in 2025.
